Kerin Agriculture: A breeding business with knowledge at its centre.

UX / UI DESIGN + WEB DEVELOPMENT
Kerin Agriculture’s property at first light.

One business. Several reasons to visit.

Zimple Digital designed and developed a website connecting Kerin Agriculture's livestock sales, breeding information and educational resources.

Kerin Agriculture brings together Poll Merino breeding, Wagyu genetics and practical knowledge for livestock producers. Someone arriving to inspect a sale animal has a different task from someone researching a breeding trait or returning for a webinar. The website gives each of those visits a clear starting point while keeping the wider business in view.

The main navigation separates the two livestock divisions from the company story and support network. Within each division, breeding information, animal records and sale opportunities have their own destinations. That hierarchy makes the business understandable before asking visitors to absorb its technical detail.

A knowledge platform built for return visits.

The Breeder's Toolbox is a substantial part of the website, bringing podcasts, webinars, articles, video and downloadable resources into one recognisable place. Search, filtering and sorting sit alongside distinct content formats, so a growing collection can be explored by purpose rather than treated as an endless news feed.

Podcast entries show the speaker or publisher and running time. Webinar listings explain the subject and provide access to recordings. Articles carry relevant business categories, while the resources area holds publications such as the review magazines. These small distinctions help visitors decide what deserves their attention. Together, they give Kerin's practical insights an organised home that remains useful between livestock sales.

An insight can sit across both livestock categories, reflecting how subjects such as technology and management apply to more than one enterprise. Content organisation follows that overlap instead of forcing every topic into a single division.

Give the numbers a usable explanation.

Breeding data needs context. The Poll Merino pages introduce individual traits with explanations and video, then present annual datasets alongside industry comparisons. Visitors can move from understanding a measure to examining what it says about the animals, without the explanation being separated from the evidence.

Stud sire entries combine animal identifiers, video, breeding values and links to external genetics records. The Wagyu section follows its own breeding priorities, with explanations of data values and separate bull and heifer datasets. The design keeps specialist information available in depth while giving less experienced visitors a route into it. Technical detail becomes part of the buying journey instead of an isolated download.

Poll Merino breeding-data explanations combine trait selection, video and plain-language definitions.

Connect research to the next practical step.

The sales experience reflects how livestock purchasing actually happens. Merino buyers can find inspection and auction information, download the sale catalogue and data, and explore previous results by year. The immediate event and the historical record serve different questions, so both have a defined place.

Wagyu listings bring price, availability, pedigree and breeding-value links together around each animal. Direct contact remains available for the conversation about suitability. This arrangement supports considered enquiries: visitors can arrive with an animal or a question in mind, while the final breeding decision stays with the people involved.

Keep the people and property in the picture.

Photography gives this information-heavy website a recognisable setting. Livestock, paddocks, family portraits and sale-day scenes connect the technical material to the people and operation behind it. Images also carry meaning in the navigation, helping distinguish business areas before a visitor enters a detailed page.

The balance matters. A producer can read a technical table, explore a practical insight and then see the animals or people that knowledge relates to. Across the website, commercial information and education share a coherent visual language, giving Kerin Agriculture room to present its breeding business and keep publishing what it learns.
