The Brief.

Cveta Property was a newly opened real estate business in Newcastle, headed by established real estate agent Cveta Kolarovski. She began the business with the purpose of enriching the lives of her clients by helping them find prosperity, success and freedom in the real estate market.  Cveta Property values the journey of their clients by creating honest, genuine and upfront relationships that last beyond the sale or purchase of their home.

Cveta Property approached Zimple to assist in developing their online brand presence and launching their brand in the Newcastle property market. We were tasked with creating a clean and simple website with streamlined user experience. Which exuded their brand essence of bold, high-end and luxury. With high-end brand and strong UX/UI design there was also high consideration to how Cveta and her team would utilise the website with considered integrations into third party property apps.

Objectives

The overall objective of the Cveta Property project was to launch the brand into the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Hunter Valley and Port Stephens market and create a streamlined, user friendly and easy to use CMS which would assist in promoting and managing their listings.

The client’s key performance indicators were: 

  • Users to have a premium and personal experience on site 

  • Strong brand recognition and retention through a high-end and enhanced design 

  • Ease of use through CMS and streamlined property management systems 

  • Create a hub for promoting the lifestyle of Newcastle, along with the homes 

  • Create a technically sound website

  • Increased conversions and enquiries on site

  • Increased traffic to the new site

Process

Prior to the project commencement, Account Management and Design teams visited the Cveta Property office in Kotara to get a sense of the real life experience of a client when working with the team. Post this meeting we held an initial project workshop where we began to unpack the branding with a mood board and style guide by LBD Studios. The branding was simple and clean with a touch of premium and elegance. Featuring a monochromatic black colour palette, coupled with hints of gold/brass and marble the branding encompassed boutique, high-end, cutting edge and stylish. 

Through this we had a thorough understanding of the brand personality and provided a sitemap and key design elements that could balance good UX design with the high end, minimal site design the client was looking for. 

Solution

The solution for Cveta Property was to create a site that highlighted the offerings - buy / sell / lease - in a way that stood out against competitors. Cveta’s offering was that she would have your home stand out if you were selling, and also find you a stand out home if you were buying/leasing. So, we needed to bring that experience to the site. 

We balanced User Experience with modern User Interface design. The client did not want a visible navigation to sit on the page, so to ensure a good user experience, we introduced a search mega menu that was always visible and accessible from anywhere on the site. 

This meant that we were not worried about placing all other navigation items into a hamburger menu, as the key focus was on finding property listings.

The blog, or lifestyle, page was a key driver in creating a bespoke experience for users, being able to find key information, articles and inspiration pieces for the lifestyle Newcastle has to offer. When users are searching for a home, they are usually researching what the area is like and so this added a nice benefit to her potential clients. 

Secondary to the user experience was to highlight the quality and high-end impact that Cveta left on the market. We achieved this by briefing a website specific photo shoot to encompass the physical aspect of their brand through digital means. The website showcases high end photography of the properties, and monochrome images across the site to feature the brand. 

The design and development of this project was highly intertwined due to the API integration for the property listings, as we needed to display the listings in a professional manner to suit the rest of the site. This API integration meant Cveta Property team members were able to upload their properties to one portal, which then automatically distributed these listings to the website and other online property portals saving the client time. There was highly considered search functionality including filtering by property type, beds, bath, car and price. 

We were able to implement various enhancements using subtle animations including cursor rollovers, load animations of the logo, a mega search menu and hamburger menu to neatly structure the website whilst providing a minimalistic design approach from the users point of view.

Evaluation

Overall, Cveta and her team were very pleased and excited by the final result of the website. We were able to effortlessly couple her high-end brand with an easy-to-use, customer-centric site. The site has generated over 15,000 users within 10 months of launch and assisted in launching her brand digitally which supports her ABL activity in the area. There was a sense of excitement and pride to see the website launch after all of the hard work from the team to launch the business from the ground up.
